The three actors – Jude Law, Colin Farrell and Johnny Depp – who took over the unfinished role of Heath Ledger’s character in The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus have reportedly gifted their paychecks to his little girl. The film’s director Terry Gilliam is quoted as saying, "They didnât take money â it goes to Heathâs daughter [Matilda Rose]."
Thatâs extraordinary! And wonderful … and when youâre part of that, you think, âAh, this is maybe why I went into the movies in the beginning. I thought it would be full of wonderful people.â And weâve got a movie full of wonderful people who did extraordinary things to help.
Matilda, 2 ½, lives with her mother, actress Michelle Williams, in Brooklyn, NY. Heath passed away of an accidental overdose of prescription drugs in January.

What started out as a morning of errands ended up as a parent’s worst nightmare, when AS Roma defender Philippe Mexès‘ vehicle was carjacked with his 2-year-old daughter Eva inside. The incident occured in front of their Italian home when Philippe’s wife Carla briefly left the vehicle to carry their sleeping son Enzo, 4, inside.
Immediately contacting the police, a search began for the stolen car — and more importantly, the baby inside. Fifteen minutes later, the SUV was abandoned by the two men, with Eva still sleeping in the backseat.
A shaken Philippe, 26, who was not present when the incident occured, has been granted the day off from training.
